I recently left my spouse and moved back to virginia to be with my family. How long do I have to live here before I can file for divorce?

Virginia has a six-month residency requirement before you can file a divorce action. You should take steps to demonstrate your actual residence such as getting a driver's license, registering to vote, getting a job, and opening a bank or charge account.
