My marriage has come to the point where it is no longer bearable. What are the grounds for divorce?
The starting point in Virginia for a divorce is the matter of grounds. The fault grounds for divorce may include such areas as cruelty, adultery and desertion. There are others such as imprisonment after committing a felony that are seldom applicable.

The grounds for divorce must be in existence when you file.
